Unified User Interface
Upon completion of data integration, the set of users requiring access to a unified source of flight data expands continually. Provision of this access is also a basic concept of CDM. The unified user interface is a universal and secure tool for accessing data.
Properties:
- Enables immediate involvement of a partner in CDM
CDM methodology involves sharing information among partners cooperating on the process of flight realisation and the number of such partners thus changes with the entry of a new dispatching company or new carriers. The unified user interface enables the provision to new partners of a robust tool for displaying and entering data into CDM.
- No installation needed (web-based application)
An important condition for integration of a partner into the CMD process is its speed. The unified user interface was created with a unique technology that combines the advantages of desktop and web-based applications. A CDM partner can thus acquire the comprehensive functionality of CDM methodology without the necessity of installing software and without the necessity of any development.
- Possibility to restrict users to "their data"
Each of the CDM partners (and, in essence, each department thereof) should have access only to data as agreed with other partners. Such an agreement can stipulate, for example, that the dispatching company works only with flights that it dispatches. This module contains a robust mechanism for assigning user rights for both displaying and editing data.
- Independent component - can be implemented without CAODB
An interesting property of this component is the fact that it can be implemented as a component of another architecture (the module is not bound to CAODB).
