Experience from other airports shows that the process of aircraft dispatching is the least monitored area from the perspective of flight information. The mobile client module provides a tool that not only enables ramp agents to immediately provide information on the dispatching process, but also makes their work more efficient.

Properties:

• Complete flight information

The ramp agent (or other carrier of a mobile device) immediately has precise information on the process of each flight.

• Provision of information on the course of dispatching

Using a mobile device, the ramp agent provides information on the current status of aircraft dispatching. The basic information for CDM methodology is TOBT (Target Off Block Time), which is the status of the anticipated completion of aircraft dispatching. This time is transmitted via CAODB to ATC for creation of the take-off sequence.

• Complete electronic ramp sheet

A component of the mobile application is a complete electronic ramp sheet. All values recorded by the ramp agent are stored in CAODB and enable further analysis of these data or resolution of potential complaints. Individual items of the ramp sheet are configurable.

• Support for the de-icing process

Like the ramp-sheet data, information on the de-icing process can also be stored.

• Additional information for ramp agents (RWY in use, Meteo, Documents on-line library)

Another function of the module is the possibility to transmit necessary information (e.g. runway in use, weather conditions and various documents) to the ramp agent.

• Independent component - can be implemented without CAODB

An interesting property of this component is the fact that it can be implemented as a component of another architecture (the module is not bound to CAODB). This module is currently operated not only by the dispatching company at Prague Airport (and thus as a component of the CAODB architecture) but by the Czech Airlines dispatching company (connected to the internal systems of ČSA).

The module further enables operation in a single installation of several dispatching companies, which can significantly reduce such companies' costs associated with their own solutions.
