IT solutions that bear fruit

CAODB

What is CAODB?

CAODB is not only an IT product - it is a solution for airport operation.

Solution for integration of existing systems

Thanks to its architecture, CAODB enables connection of an unlimited number of systems and ensures the exchange of data between them without the necessity of changing these systems or the method by which they are used. The resulting effect of CAODB implementation is a dramatic reduction of manual maintenance of data in systems and reduction of the number of telephone calls between units (by up to 80%).

Solution for CDM methodology

All fundamental aspects of CDM methodology are implemented in CAODB. This fact elevates CAODB from a mere tool for collecting and distributing data to a solution that, using gathered data, monitors happenings at the airport and the course of each flight and, in the event a problem occurs, immediately informs all necessary units of the airport and their partners.

A project involving implementation of CDM methodology has much in common with a project of integration of existing systems, as in both cases it always concerns a solution for having data available in each of the systems at the required time and in the necessary quality. CAODB is a universal solution for both of these projects while requiring only one investment. In addition, CAODB can be a CDM solution not only for the airport, but also for all of its partners.

Open solution

An airport is a living organism that is constantly developing, where it is necessary to respond to operational requirements on a daily basis. These requirements can consist in either changes of the existing method of airport operation (e.g. a country's accession to the Schengen Agreement requires its assignment to a different terminal) or in the necessity of implementing a new system (e.g. Noise Measurement System), which of course requires flight data and it is necessary to enter the respective information into other systems). Implementation of CAODB dramatically reduces (and thus curtails) the difficulty of resolving both of these problems. A change consisting in assignment to a different terminal is performed only in CAODB, which transfers information to the other systems. The source of flight information for the new system is of course CAODB, which also receives data from the system and distributes it to the systems that require it.

Solution for data quality

CAODB is the "single version of the truth" of data on flights at the airport and its data are distributed to other systems. Of course, this places extreme demands on the quality of CAODB data. Therefore, CAODB contains a robust mechanism for monitoring flights, which actively seeks out inconsistencies in data and immediately informs the staff of the occurrence of erroneous information. The same mechanism serves for final checking of flight data and their completion. As a source of data with minimal occurrence of errors, CAODB is a suitable source of data for invoicing software.

Robust solution

As a central element, CAODB is a component in the case of which failure cannot be allowed. Therefore, the architecture is designed to be maximally robust and all of its components use clustering. In all components virtualisation of servers is used in order to achieve independence between system availability and the hardware on which the system is based.

Solution for details

CAODB is not only a comprehensive data-integration solution. Over the long period of its development, CAODB has come to contain a solution for everyday operational details. It brings you clear answers to questions such as:

  • How can timely sending of LDM reports of the dispatching company be ensured?
  • How can baggage unloading be accelerated?
  • How can the issue of MTOW values be comprehensively resolved?
  • How can you solve mismatch in delay codes?
  • How can information about reduced mobility passengers be managed?
  • How can your flight data be complemented by your partners?
