Academy
Profinit supports Czech and Slovak technical universities. Our primary aim is to bring closer the worlds of private sector and academia.
University Lectures
Since 2007 Profinit has been participating at university education. Our employees teach a university course Software Engineering in Practice, a regular semester course running at Charles University and Czech Technical University. Besides regular semester courses, our experts are often invited to ad hoc lectures at technical universities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The main purpose of the invited lectures is to make students familiar with practical aspects of software engineering. The lectures cover topics like quality assurance, software maintenance, web frameworks etc. You can find more information on our university lectures in the Czech part of the website here.
Thesis of the Year
In 2009 Profinit launched the third year of the Diploma Thesis of the Year contest (IT Diplomka roku). The best thesis within the area of software engineering and computer science is chosen by a jury consisting of members of the academia as well as from the private sector. The winner is awarded 100 000 CZK. The contest is a useful way how to put together people from universities and private companies. At social events connected with the contest, these people can discuss possibilities of their mutual cooperation.
And More...
Profinit sponsors university libraries as well as renowned academic conferences, such as Sofsem or Datakon, in order to increase the level of Czech technical education. We also cooperate with selected students on their assignments and diploma theses.
